Can you lose testosterone

I'm 54, 210, walk 10,000 - 13,000 steps at least 5 times a week, do Pilates at least twice a week, and attend a sweat house twice a week. I've tried everything: WW (online), Scarsdale, MyFitnessPal, Noom and nothing has worked. Basically, I yo-yo: lose 5 pounds and then gain back, I lose and gain it back. I weigh my food, and log every morsel. My doctor says my numbers are all in a great range .... I would just like to see the 190's again. Any suggestion that you can provide would be great - should I consider Ketogenic diet?

Lifting weights is great and all, but to really lose weight with low testosterone, you need to get regular cardiovascular exercise, which will also help you to get the most out of your weightlifting routine. The most effective weight loss programs include cardio and weightlifting, so make sure you include 20 – 30 minutes of cardio with your weightlifting to maximize your exercise program’s weight loss potential. As always, be sure to check with your doctor before you begin any sort of cardiovascular exercise routine, especially if you have heart problems or other health issues.

The second step was to start the exercises, since I was more than half way to achieving my goal, this was more fun than I thought. I started off slow and increased as my fitness levels got better. I now exercise three days a week  using mainly the exercises in Mike's book, I also do a little strength training like pull ups and tricep extensions just to boost my muscular strength. I have been doing so for only two months and have had great results, I have not got a six pack stomach as yet, but my stomach is flat and I am so confident that it is only a matter of  short time since all the hard work has  been achieved to get rid of the bulge I once called a stomach.

Who likes “dieting”? Nobody. “Dieting” in the sense of “starving yourself thin” is stressful and painful. Those feelings of stress and general craziness are the results of a hormone called cortisol, which is the “fight-or-flight” master of the hormonal system. If you need a sudden burst of strength and speed (you get attacked, your kid falls into a river, you’re trapped in a burning building), cortisol is great, but when it’s constantly elevated, cortisol becomes a problem. And unfortunately for the dieters of the world, producing more cortisol is a great way to lower testosterone levels.
