The EverQuest universe is divided into more than five hundred zones. [23] These zones represent a wide variety of geographical features, including plains, oceans, cities, deserts, and other planes of existence. One of the most popular zones in the game is the Plane of Knowledge, one of the few zones in which all races and classes can coexist harmoniously without interference. The Plane of Knowledge is also home to portals to many other zones, including portals to other planes and to the outskirts of nearly every starting city.

Particles - This section allows you to adjust the number of particles displayed during spell effects. In some cases a lower setting may improve performance. You can make adjustments for Spells, the Environment (Env), and Player particles. You should set these for Me + NPC, and just pick a low density if you are using a slow computer. A lot of AE spells have particle effects that flood the area they affect, and sometimes seeing these particles is the difference between life and death. I wouldn't use anything other than Me + NPC unless you like to see a LOT of flashy particle effects.

Btw that was my Druid in that screenshot :). I could create a mod to make your spells look much like classic, but it can't be perfect. Not to be too technical but without the devs, The emitters won't align to your characters bone structure like it did in classic. Which means when you move your arms, the particles will keep flowing at the same angle instead of flowing in whatever direction your hands are pointing. I'm also limited to 4 effects at one time, and some classic spells require several more. This is why I hope daybreak puts some effort into pulling this off.
